Heating and Cooling Homes on Millionaires Row
Monticello's historic State Street homes, along with the Allerton mansion built 1899-1903, were constructed at a scale and complexity well beyond a standard county farmhouse, and heating and cooling systems in those homes have been upgraded across multiple eras since. Monticello became the Piatt County seat in 1841, and its grandest properties have carried increasingly elaborate mechanical systems ever since.
HVAC Planning for Larger, Older Homes
A larger historic home usually needs more than one HVAC zone and more careful ductwork planning than a standard house, since a single system often can't serve the whole structure evenly. Monticello's older, larger housing stock deserves that scaled approach to heating and cooling.
